5-HTP or 5-Hydroxytryptophan is an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body. It leads to an increase in levels of serotonin - a neurotransmitter which regulates behavior and mood, and melatonin – a hormone linked with the normal sleep pattern. 5-HTP is used in venEVOL because it is known to reduce anxiety and depression as it is an antidepressant. It is used in the treatment of insomnia, migraine and Fibromyalgia which causes pain in the muscles, tendons and ligaments, severe fatigue and disturbed sleep. It also assists weight loss by reducing appetite. It is found in small amounts in cheese and white meat. Using the supplement in excess can cause side effects like heart valve disease, nausea, etc. and hence it is essential to seek medical advice before using it.

Cellulose is the structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Cellulose is not digestible by humans and is often referred to as 'dietary fiber' or 'roughage', acting as a hydrophilic bulking agent for feces.

Guarana- The active constituent of guarana is caffeine, which means that it should not be used alongside ephedrine as either a dietary aid or in order to stimulate performance. The American Food and Drug Administration has not tested its effectiveness or its purity as they do not class it as a drug. Guarana has many other names including Brazilian cocoa and may be a constituent of non alcoholic drinks imported from South America. Because of possible adverse reactions it is not recommended for anyone with a heart condition or who has kidney disease, high blood pressure or who suffers from anxiety.

Guggulsterone is a plant sterol found in the resin of the guggul plant, Commiphora mukul. It acts as an antagonist of the farnesoid X receptor, which was earlier believed to result in decreased cholesterol synthesis in the liver.

Magnesium Stearate is coommonly used as a filling agent in the manufacture of capsules and tablets, such as vitamins, the source of this ingredient is typically bovine. However, there is an increasing number of vegetarian options in which the product specifically indicates it contains magnesium stearate from vegetable sources.

Synephrine, a semi-selective sympathomimetic, is used to stimulate the adrenaline system. Also known as ‘zhi shi’, green orange or bitter orange; it is a chief, active constituent found in the fruit belonging to the plant, Citrus aurantium. Synephrine is not only similar to ephedra in its chemical composition but also serves the same benefits as caffeine or ephedrine. However, it mildly stimulates the fat metabolism without causing any of the side effects associated with ephedra based products. The best advantage of using Synephrine is that it increases the metabolic rate without affecting the hemodynamics. Thus, it is comparatively much safer than ephedra. Since Synephrine promotes weight loss and supports thermogenesis, Synephrine supplements are an ideal solution for dieters and weight watchers. The total intake should be between 2 to 10 mg. per day.

Thiamine, also called Vitamin B1 or Thiamin, is needed to help the body utilize energy from proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Thiamine is commonly found in breads and cereals. Thiamine is water-soluble and is concentrated in muscle tissue as it passes thru the body.

Tyrosine is a non essential amino acid derived from several sources, including soy, poultry, milk and cheese products, but can also be synthesized in the body from phenylalanine. There are twenty amino acids that are used in human cells to synthesize proteins, one of which is tyrosine. It is of vital importance to the carbon dioxide conversion into organic compounds conducted by plants, the photosynthesis. Tyrosine is also recognized as a precursor to hormones, but also alkaloids and pigments. It is furthermore viewed as a precursor to neurotransmitters; it increases the levels of plasma neurotransmitters, most prominently norepinephrine and dopamine. While under normal circumstances the effects of tyrosine are inconclusive, it has been observed as useful in stress situations and to reduce the effects of a cold, fatigue, sleep deprivation and any kind of prolonged labor.

Vitamin B12, or rather the Vitamin B complex, is a group of vitamins that are all soluble in water and very often coexist in food sources. While every single Vitamin from the B complex group has a name, they are very often referred to by the number added to the Vitamin B group name, like Vitamin B1, which is thiamine, or Vitamin B2, which is riboflavin. Some other compounds have been added to the Vitamin B group at some time, but were later dropped, like adenine, orotic acid or adenosine monophosphate, where later research found that they are either synthesized by the human body or simply no Vitamins.
